The Sun Fun Kits official RS-485 data cable is a great investment to any Sun Fun Kits battery or kit and is the perfect way to communicate with smart devices like inverters, chargers, and more. This cable has a long 10' (3050 mm) length and uses USB-A and RJ45 ends making it a plug and play solution for anyone looking to extend the smart functionality of their batteries. Built with   genuine FTDI chips, it provides a compact and reliable interface cable that is compatible with many devices such as Windows PCs, Mac OS, and Android. Can also be used for any device looking for a RS-485 to USB interface. 

The v2 version moves the main chip body about 12" (30 cm) away from the USB-A port making it easier to plug into devices. The V2 version also adds dual mounting point rings for users looking to securely mount the cable in fixed installs. Finally we have added dual LED lights to show you when the data is being transmitted or received by the device.

The v2 cable can also be equipped with a water resistant aluminum jacket that works with any of the Sun Fun Kits batteries and devices, use this to prevent dust and debris from clogging the rj45 port.
